A striking vintage black and white kimono from the Shōwa period (1926–1989), expressing the quiet drama of traditional Japanese elegance.

The entire garment is crafted in traditional shibori fabric, where the cloth is intricately hand-bound and dyed, creating a rich surface texture and depth unique to each piece. Across the monochrome ground, rhythmic motifs of hand fans, seasonal florals, and delicate Japanese maple leaves unfold in graphic harmony. The contrast between black and off-white gives the kimono a timeless presence that feels both classic and modern.

Designed with graceful long sleeves, the silhouette moves fluidly with the body, creating an elegant sense of volume and air as you walk.

Inside, a soft white lining is revealed, accented with vivid orange at the cuffs and hem. The interior features a subtle jacquard texture, offering refinement visible in motion and detail.

This piece carries the spirit of heritage while remaining effortless to style, worn open as a robe, layered over contemporary silhouettes, or styled as a statement outer kimono.
